Employers

Employers in the Tasmanian forest and forest products industry have many challenges in attracting and retaining a skilled workforce. These include an aging workforce, long hours, remote and regional locations along with competition from other industries for labour.

Opportunities to support regional communities, to build a highly skilled workforce, to capitalise on the carbon economy and the natural capital values of the industry. Promoting these opportunities to the community, the current and future workforce can increase profile of the sector to the labour market.
