Employers in the Tasmanian forest and forest products industry have many challenges in attracting and retaining a skilled workforce. These include an aging workforce, long hours, remote and regional locations along with competition from other industries for labour.

Opportunities to support regional communities, to build a highly skilled workforce, to capitalise on the carbon economy and the natural capital values of the industry.
