The Network Communications Working Group have met at the start of December for the second time to continue to identify opportunities to collaborate, current communications strategies across the industry and to collectively rebrand the sector.

The Communications Working Group received an update on the work of Pollinate for the Department of State Growth. This work has an industry goal to reframe forestry in a positive way that reflects the breadth of work and true value of forestry to the forest system and ultimate benefit to society.

The Working Group received an update on the Visiting Architects Program, the Private Forests Tasmanian Farm Forestry Engagement Plan, and recent and planned Forest Education Foundation activity.

The group will begin work in the new year on a calendar of industry events and planning around celebrations of the Centenary of Forestry Act.
