Introducing…

Romany Brodribb— TFFPN’s Communication and Member Services Manager

Originally hailing from Circular Head in the state’s far north-west, Romany brings a diverse new professional skillset to the Network.

A graduate of the University of Tasmania, Romany holds both a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Journalism and Media Studies, and a Bachelor of Teaching. She taught in local secondary and senior secondary schools for 10 years before deciding to pursue her original passion and vocation in communications.

Most recently, Romany held the role of Senior Consultant for Hobart-based public relations agency, Timmins Ray, specialising in communication planning, media relations and training, stakeholder engagement, crisis and issues planning and social media strategy and management. This role saw Romany manage a portfolio of clients in a diversity of industries, providing specialist counsel to each.

On the weekends you’ll find Romany eating too much cheese, entertaining friends and family, wrangling her two small children in the pool, avoiding housework and hunting for the perfect extra-strength skinny cappuccino.

In both her current profession, and in her former vocation as a teacher, Romany believes relationships are key, and she looks forward to meeting, listening and responding to the needs of Network members, partners and supporters over the coming months.
