The inaugural Tasmanian Timber Awards were held at the start of August, and what a night it was!
Over 330 industry representatives as well as federal, state and local government members joined to celebrate great achievements within the whole forest industry, as well as acknowledging the outstanding efforts of so many during an extremely challenging period in early 2019 with the Tasmanian bushfires.
“The Tasmanian Timber Awards recognise and celebrate individuals and companies who are making an outstanding contribution to the forest industry in Tasmania,” said TFFPN Chairman, Steve Whiteley. “The Network is proud to be hosting these inaugural awards, with 13 categories from right across our industry recognising excellence in their particular field. The forest industry plays an important part in Tasmania’s regional economy, and these awards value and recognise all those who work within the industry and those who support it,” Mr Whiteley added.
