Sustainable Timber Tasmania’s Eagle Eye project has won Outstanding Contribution to Sustainability or Protection of the Environment at the 2020 TasICT Excellence Awards.

STT’s Eagle Eye project is applying the Internet of Things to landscape scale Wedge-tailed eagle management. They have been trialling technology for the past two years that identifies the presence of Wedge-tailed eagles in nesting locations across Tasmania. Stt are using this data to inform operational decisions that avoid negatively impacting nesting.

This project has been a true collaborative effort and STT feel privileged to work alongside some valuable partners including Indicium Dynamics.
