The Network utilises Working Groups to tackle particular events and outcomes.

Tasmanian Forest Safety Code Review Working Group
The Working Group for the Tasmanian Forest Safety Code Review was convened to provide the Forest Industry with an opportunity to discuss how the Code needs to change in order to remain effective and relevant in the context of a new working environment.

2020 AGFEST Working Group
The Purpose of the 2020 AGFEST Working Group is to successfully apply for a site at AGFEST 2020. Once this is secured, the group will plan and implement the site, including themes, attracting site sharers, designing collateral and marketing materials. It is hoped the 2020 site will grow on The Network’s success in 2019 at AGFEST, which showcased the the first forest industry site at AGFEST.

Tasmanian Timber Awards
The purpose of the Working Group is to plan and coordinate the Tasmanian Timber Industry Awards to be held in Launceston on August 9 2019. The Working Party has implemented the application process (online), secured category judges, and industry sponsorship for the night, including sponsors for each award category.

Communications Working Group
The purpose of the Communication Working Group is to collectively rebrand the forest and forest products industry in Tasmania. It is a forum to discuss sharing resources to leverage common messages and to identify opportunities to collaborate where appropriate .

2019 AGFEST Working Group
The Purpose of AGFEST Working Group was to apply for a site at AGFEST 2019. Have secured this, plan and implement the site, including themes, attracting site sharers (10 were successful), designing collateral and marketing materials. The event was very successful and represented the first forest industry site at AGFEST.

Fire Management Working Group

The Working Group was convened to allow members of the TFFPN to discuss their perspectives on the January 19 bushfires, the impacts, what can be learned . The Working Group took the decision to submit a joint forest industry submission to the AFAC Review into the January bushfires.
