Reliance Forest Fibre
Reliance Forest Fibre is a Tasmanian based business responsible for the sustainable harvest, re-planting, commercial sale of timber from the 49,500ha of productive plantations. Reliance Forest Fibre also manages 18,500ha of native forest and non-plantation area for grazing, infrastructure, and natural value capital. The estate is located diversly around Tasmania. Reliance Forest Fibre undertake all operations in a safe, efficient, and sustainable manner meeting legislative requirements and within the AS4708 “Responsible Wood” sustainable forest management framework.
Private Forests Tasmania
Private Forests Tasmania is a government authority with a legislated role to facilitate and expand the development of our private forest resource in a manner which is consistent with sound forest and land management practices. Private Forests Tasmania is the only government-funded authority established in Australia to specifically promote, foster and assist the private forestry sector on forestry matters.
We do this mainly through providing information and advice to private growers and their markets, through research, innovation and planning tools, and by providing practical policy advice to our Tasmanian and Australian governments that represents the interests of private forest growers.
