Hydrowood supplies wood for 2019 Sydney Hobart

To mark the 75^th anniversary of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, all 1800 competitors in the 2019 field were honoured with a Hydrowood trophy upon their arrival into Constitution Dock at the completion of the race.

The keepsake trophy mirrors the sails of the yachts and is crafted from Tasmanian celery top pine. This pine is particularly unique as it was recovered from deep under the waters of Lake Pieman, Tasmania. The wood was kindly donated by our Network member, Hydrowood, and was designed by local artist Michael Travalia.
