The TFFPN thank the following organisations for their support of our inaugural Annual Forum.
Forico is Tasmania’s largest plantation manager; producing in excess of 1.8M tonnes of wood fibre each year; investing in the future with an annual planting program exceeding 6,000 hectares of plantations; and providing environmental services from 81,000 hectares of natural forest managed for conservation; all within a management system certified to the world’s best forest management standards.
Forico’s forest management team are strongly focused on developing quality, healthy, innovative and sustainable plantation forestry practices. We are in full control of our supply chain. This means we can assure the quality of our wood fibre products all the way from seed to customer.
Our management program focuses on optimising plantation growth whilst keeping risk to a minimum. Our team has extensive forestry management experience and are positioned as leaders in Tasmania.
Our vision is ‘future fibre’.
Sustainable Timber Tasmania is the custodian of Tasmania’s public forest assets across 820,000 hectares of Permanent Timber Production Zone land. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We sustainably manage the forest estate to protect biodiversity, preserve cultural heritage and maintain vital ecosystem services. We utilise evidence-based multi-tier planning to sustainably supply timber from the estate to Tasmanian timber processing businesses. We are sustainably growing our business in line with strategies for achieving success and supporting the Tasmanian timber industry.
