Reliance Forest Fibre Estate

Reliance Forest Fibre (RFF) owns a large eucalypt plantation estate in Tasmania formerly owned and managed by Sustainable Timber Tasmania.

RFF was formed in 2017 and manages the estate, of approximately 29,000 productive ha located throughout Tasmania. The estate consists mainly of Eucalyptus nitens and Eucalyptus globulus plantations and includes small areas of natural forest.

Our focus is to sustainably deliver environmental and economic value to the RFF estate and that of other plantation owners by managing an integrated supply chain that provides access to the global market for Forest Products.

Bell Bay Chip Terminal

Reliance Forest Fibre acquired the former Smartfibre site at Bell Bay in March 2018.

Operational since 2003 the site has been renamed the Bell Bay Chip Terminal and is strategically situated in the Bell Bay Industrial zone adjacent to TasPorts Bell Bay port. With log and chip storage, a chip mill and access to TasPorts’ ship loading infrastructure, this facility provides a direct link for forest produce to the global market place.

RFF has maintained environmental certification of the site and production facility to ISO 14001 and recently attained ISO9001:2015 quality management both internationally recognised.
