TasPorts proud to become Network Partner

TasPorts’ forestry customers are a vital part of our business, which is why we are pleased to become a Partner of the Tasmanian Forests and Forest Products Network.

We value the forestry industry’s significant contribution to the state’s economy and regional communities, through support of thousands of jobs and sustainable management of Tasmania’s forests.

TasPorts’ vision is to proudly connect people, products and solutions for the benefit of all Tasmanians.

We see scope to increase collaboration with the industry, to further facilitate supply chain solutions and enable our customers through reliable infrastructure, responsive to user demand.

We know 2020 has delivered unprecedented impacts on industries, communities and economies across the world. Tasmania has not been exempt from these challenges and TasPorts is dedicated to support the forestry industry though this adversity.

This includes a continued commitment to our Port Master Plan released in 2018, which will ensure a network of fit-for-purpose infrastructure to facilitate future growth and demand at Tasmania’s major commercial ports.

Planning and development works have continued throughout the current COVID-19 environment, including focus on our key ports for forestry products such as the Port of Burnie, incorporating the Burnie Chip Export Terminal, the Port of Bell Bay and Southern Export Terminals (SET).

TasPorts looks forward to working with the network to support those working in the forestry industry, and to optimise port and landside facilities for industry and the wider Tasmanian economy.
