Working together to achieve better industry workforce outcomes

The Tasmanian forest industry aspires to be a high quality, high technology industry employing skilled and motivated workers. Key to achieving this vision is industry organisations working in lockstep with each other to set out and accomplish activities that will benefit the sector.

With a view to strengthening the working relationship between the two organisations, the Tasmanian Forests and Forest Products Network (TFFPN) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Arbre Forest Industries Training and Careers Hub (Arbre Hub).

This MOU aims to ensure the objectives of both organisations are met by focusing on increased collaboration and coordination to deliver the Tasmanian Forest Industry Workforce Development and Implementation Plan.

“The MOU will assist in the Network fostering a closer collaborative relationship with Arbre Hub and better align the activities of both organisations with relation to the Workforce Development and Implementation Plan to ensure industry has better access to skills development and training both now and in the future,” TFFPN Convenor, Therese Taylor said.
