Agfest 2023: TFFPN Forest Industries Site

We’re back! 

Join us at the Agfest Forest Industries Site, hosted by the Tasmanian Forests and Forest Products Network, this year from 4-6 May.

Our site will comprise 16 site sharers from across and around the forest industry, as well as a number of free events open to the public (see below).

You will find us on Sixth Avenue at site 610-14 – just look for the forest of trees!

What’s On?

The TFFPN’s Agfest Forest Industries Site (610-14, Sixth Ave) will host a number on onsite events over the three days from 4-6 May. These free public events will be held by some of our site sharers and are designed to be informative and celebrate the work of the sector.

Thursday 4 May:

10am – Welcome to Agfest – Morning Tea

Hosted by Forest Practices Authority

11am – ActivAcre information session

2pm – Carbon Farm Forestry Tool and Workforce Development Portal

The Tasmanian Forests and Forest Products Network (TFFPN) will launch two innovative tools that will significantly benefit the forest sector. Join us onsite for light refreshments and learn about the Workforce Development Portal and the Carbon Farm Forestry Tool.

Hear from former Midway CEO Tony Price and Private Forests Tasmania acting CEO Stephen Clarke about new opportunities for Tasmanian farmers and the active management of private forests right across the state.
